RCB HISTORY 
 

The River City Boppers is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 and incorporated in 1991.  The organization was founded for the purpose of the preservation and promotion of the music of the 1950’s and early 1960’s known as “Rock & Roll” and the dances associated with that era called the Bop, Shag, Jitterbug and Swing. 
                                                                                                         
         The River City Boppers, Inc. is a member of the American Bop Association and the National  Fast Dance Association.  

 The River City Boppers currently meet on the first Saturday of each month at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike, Germantown, Tennessee and the third Saturday of the month at the IHMC located in Lakeland on Canada road. Dancing from 7:00 – 10:30 to the music of  "High School Eddie" Richardson.  BYOB and  light snacks are provided with soft drinks available for donation.  The Pickering Center and IHMC is non-smoking.
